A road trip to beaches in Konkan

September 25, 2009

Be it road trips, treks, or backpack trips, Maharashtra; India, my new home; gives numerous options that emerge from the combination of a long coastline and the Sahyadri hills running parallel to it. Maharashtra is blessed with few of the finest beaches one could find in the country. And to my delight I found out that some of these beaches are a backpackers dream come true, long stretches of secluded beaches ideal for camping and amiable people. couple of times we managed to go fishing with the local fishermen in the early hours which happened to be the highlight of the entire road trip which i call the Konkan Escapade!!
